Because of a dedication in design to the skater , both professional and amature, this facility has been shown to be the number one Iceplex in the United States. It is 65,000 square feet in size, with two full size sheets of ice, four party rooms, four combination locker rooms, a pro shop, figure skating school, ballet room ... ALL constructed for $3,000,000.
The National average for the construction of similar facilities is $70-120 per square foot. This facility was constructed at $42.00 / sq. ft. without compromising the aesthetics, economy today and tomorrow and functionality.The project had an extremely tight budget yet was designed at $43.00 per square foot, almost half the national average for this type of facility.

Masonry Institute Awarded it's First Annual "Top Block" Award to Milberger and Associates.
The award was presented in recognition for excellence in concrete masonry design and construction. The Huntsville Municipal lCEPLEX has 65,575 so. ft. located on three levels. The first floor houses the main activities, rooms, business offices, restrooms, two rinks, ice equipment rooms, special rooms, and game rooms. The second floor has a balcony overlooking the main rink and six or seven meeting rooms. The third floor is only for mechanical equipment to heat and cool the ice areas.
