Briarwood Ice - Seattle, Washington

Briarwood
Ice is "truly a site for sore eyes." Briarwood Shopping Center was a
small retail mall which had fallen to disrepair and was a detriment to the
communities image.
Milberger and Milberger Architects proposed, to Trace and Associates, that they construct an Ice Arena as an anchor for the shopping complex. They teamed with Fuller/Sears - a local Seattle architectural firm.
With the addition of 6 new retail spaces, a pub and a fully operational single sheet Ice complex, Trace and Associates, was able to turn a slum into as asset for the entire county.
This facility will serve the public, hockey and figure skating communities. With a complete light system and a focus on the public Trace and Associates in their programming of the facility.
